Saturday highlight✨Empowering Women in FootballThe Football Federation of Belize is proud to highlight the achievements of two remarkable women who are breaking barriers and representing Belize on the international stage.Last month, one of our National Team coaches, Ms. Miriam Villamil, was appointed as the Lead Instructor for the Concacaf W Football for Development Coaches Education program in San Diego. This significant role underscores her commitment to advancing women's football and developing future leaders in the sport.Additionally, Competitions Director Ms. Sandra Aleman recently attended the CONCACAF W Professional Football Development seminar, focusing on essential topics such as women’s club licensing, safeguarding, and the overall growth of women’s clubs. Currently, she is in the Dominican Republic representing the FFB at the FIFA Women’s Football Regional Workshop, which prioritizes the development, leadership, and professionalization of women’s football.Under the leadership of President Sergio Chuc, the Federation has seen a marked increase in the participation of women in football, along with expanded international opportunities. Lucas Alvarado, goalkeeper for Manchester City F.C, U15 and U17 teams, visited the Football Federation of Belize HQ yesterday. He and his parents met with FFB President Sergio Chuc and U16 Boys Head Coach Dale Pelayo.
